The Laugavegur route is Iceland’s most iconic trail—a surreal 54km journey through "painted" rhyolite mountains, neon-green moss, and vast obsidian fields. While traditionally a multi-day trek, we’ve perfected the 2-day run, allowing you to experience the raw power of the highlands at a thrilling, supported pace.
Our journey begins in Landmannalaugar, a geothermal wonderland of hot springs and colorful peaks, and concludes in the lush, glacial valley of Þórsmörk.
Special for 2026: The Celestial Finish Line This year’s run is timed for greatness. We finish our 54km adventure on the afternoon of August 11th, just in time for you to celebrate your achievement before the universe puts on its own show. On August 12th, a Total Solar Eclipse will pass directly over Iceland.
By finishing the trail on the 11th, you’ll be perfectly positioned to witness this rare celestial event on your "recovery day." Whether you choose to watch the partial eclipse from the serene mountains of the South or head back to the path of totality in the West, there is no better way to cap off a week of Icelandic adventure.
Note: The guided tour concludes on Aug 11th. Travelers are responsible for their own viewing arrangements and accommodation for the eclipse on Aug 12th.
